Madly Indian has opened its third restaurant earlier this month at Ruakaka. Spice Route can be found on Princes Rd where they promise their usual quality standard of food and service.

Waipu Cove Surf Life Saving Club has also been lucky enough to gain funding for a new battery operated suction machine, and a new scoop stretcher.

Quiz choices

Cheese choices
Cheese On Wheels brings a range of high quality award winning cheeses to the Waipu GAS station the second Thursday of every month, 10.30am–12.30 pm. All their hard and semi-hard cheeses, around 40 varieties, are imported. Soft cheeses are sourced from within New Zealand. They may have the biggest range of goat and sheep cheese in New Zealand (great for lactose-intolerant people), plus buffalo cheeses and the cow's-milk type. Fun when the tide’s out
The Tide’s Out Bream Bay Fun Run, held Sunday November 8, is a 5km and 10km fun run and walk organised by the Bream Bay College PTA, and held in Ruakaka. The 5km event follows a loop around the streets – the 10km follows this but does an additional out and back loop.
