Showhome opens to wide acclaim
While brick and tile homes are what GJ Gardner are synonymous for, their newly opened showhome on the corner of Longview and Molesworth Drive in Mangawhai Village brings a number of new elements to the fore.
“We wanted to show that we do, and have been for many years – building a variety of homes to suit a variety of budgets,” says company director Elaine Morley.
“While this home still has the reliability of brick, by painting the brick we have created a more modern look, and pairing that with linear gives a wonderful easy care home.”
The home was designed specifically with the outdoors in mind. Kiwis love to live and entertain outdoors so indoor outdoor flow was important.
The kitchen is a central focal point of the home with the separate scullery but that can be closed off to hide all that prep work when the entertaining begins.
“We also wanted to create a feeling of space in the rooms and so a 2.7m high ceiling height was decided on,” Elaine explains. “This not only gives height to the rooms but by increasing the joinery height as well ensures more light inside and natural heating.”
The chosen colours and decor are themed on a boho coastal look for a casual relaxed feel.
GJ Gardner have been building in the area for over 20 years and pride themselves in not only a well designed and constructed home but also customer service during and after the build.
A home is one of the largest investments anyone can make so confidence in their building company is all important. Working with a company that cares about the customer and the process forms a relationship that can last for years to come.
A family home of three bedrooms and two bathrooms the showhome also incorporates a number of features and options that can be adapted to most styles and budgets. This is a home to visit if you have building in mind and if not, maybe this will get you thinking.
