Charity funds for Cubs and Scouts.jpg "kaiwaka cubs and scouts(copy)") Mangawhai/Kaiwaka Scout leaders are thrilled to hear their troop will receive funds raised from a charity tournament to be held on Friday January 17 at the Mangawhai Golf Club and thank club head Mike Howard for his support. Tournament entry fee is $65 and there will be a great prize table and auction. To enter email Mike on mike@mediathink.co.nz. Local Cubs and Scouts have been busy gathering sheep manure to sell as a fundraiser for their troop. This stuff is magic for your garden! To purchase a sack of dry sheep manure contact either Carol Mills on 431 2044 or Steve Strong on 431 4806. Just $7 a sack. Scouts recently went on a camp at Mangawhai enjoying tramping, raft building and racing, cooking, swimming and singing around the campfire. Scout Leader Jenny Webb organised the events. Wanted: More leaders for Scout and Cub troops. Have heaps of fun with the children in the fabulous new den at Hakaru, Thursdays 5.30–7.30pm.
