Organisers expect bigger, better Waipu Labour Weekend Market
Following the successful expansion and day change from Saturday to Sunday for the Queen’s Birthday Market, the Waipu Business and Community Society has further expanded the Labour Weekend Sunday market by creating at least 40 additional stalls in the Celtic barn.
The Sunday Labour Weekend market will be a great day out for all the family with a bouncy castle, fire brigade and St John demonstrations, classic car display, food trucks, live entertainment and over 130 stalls including fashion, fresh produce, art, jewelry, leather goods, plants, bric-a-brac, and outdoor furniture. Something for every member of the family. Hours are 9am–1 pm, Sunday, October 22.
Non-profit community groups are provided free stall space at the market. Limited space is still available and interested groups should email email@example.com for more information.
Also in the foyer of the barn is the Art ‘n Tartan Revisited exhibition featuring a selection of this year’s winners. Entry to this exhibition is by gold coin donation.
The Waipu Business and Community Society organises four markets per year at holiday long weekends. Funds generated go towards Waipu promotions and the very popular local Christmas Santa parade.
The Society is looking for helpers to assist with street markets and the Santa parade. If you can help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
