Online debate prompts St John evening
In response to recent social media discussion regarding the distribution of funds from Mangawhai’s St John opportunity shop, Station Manager for St John Mangawhai, Andrew Mumford has arranged a community Open Evening on October 24.
Mumford says the online talk raised some important questions which he was keen to address.
“It will be a great opportunity to connect with the community,” he says. “It will also be a chance to thank everyone for their support and share the work of St John in the Area, including Ambulance Operations, Op Shop, Youth and Community Programs.”
The online debate was generally proactive with people discussing what percentage of the funds stays local, what the money pays for as well as expressing support for the organisation and volunteers including ambulance officers and St John Op shop staff.
Mumford says he is hoping the evening will mainly be an open dialogue format although he will have some prepared content.
“We're really happy to answer questions on the night but it would be great to have a chance to prepare, so please feel free to send questions to email@example.com thanks.”
St John Open Evening to be held at Mangwhai Ambulance Station, Molesworth Drive, October 24 from 7 – 9pm.
