Get creative!

Winter months often spur us on to take up new activities, and there is a lot happening in and around Mangawhai right now.

Evening art talks
Evening Art Talks start on July 23 in the Village Hall, hosted by Suza Lawrence. Learn something about our most influential artists, historic and contem-porary, get an under-standing of art move-ments and concepts, plus current exhibitions and biennales. Each presentation is accompanied by a slide show or movie, followed by group discussion. The July presentation is 2014 Sydney Biennale

You Imagine What You Desire, August 20 is about the most famous artists of 20th century, and in September, find out about the 10 'must know' contemporary New Zealand artists. For more info, and to book, you will need to contact Suza: (09) 432 1881, 021 924 819, email suza@suza.co.nz.

Nora, the popular Flourish Aotearoa stall holder at the village market, is holding a breadmaking class this Saturday, June 28, from 1-4pm in the commercial kitchen at the Domain pavilion. The class is limited to six people, so you will need to register right now! Phone Nora on 431 3049, or email flour-ishaoteartoa@google-mail.com.
