Seussical artists shine

 

Three talented children from Waipu and Mangawhai have won Otamatea Repertory Theatre’s Seussical Art Competition.

Minnie Stratton, Kiera Carroll and Hemi Ruka all won a double pass to the musical’s opening weekend for their artistic endeavours.

The rules were simple: draw, paint, sketch, collage – any medium – and create your favourite Dr Seuss image from any of his books.

“The entries were exceptionally creative – the children really captured the spirit of Dr Seuss with some fabulous works of art,” said Seussical director, Peter Flower, pictured above left.
