News in Brief

Meant To Be makes Bazaar move
The changing shape of Mangawhai continues. Meant To Be home decor shop in Molesworth Drive at the Village has found a new home. Bazaar World, in the Carters complex, has also had a re-shuffle to make room and sub-let some space to the gift shop.

Meant To Be, an already well established and much-loved local store will be re-locating October 19.With its wide range of homeware, clothing, jewellery and giftware it will contrast with Bazaar World’s budget-friendly and eco friendly stock, so will offer a great range of options for any customer visiting the two shops.

Power struggle at EV station
It seems road rage may have given way to charging rage centred around the Village EV charging station. The Focus has had reports from local users who are getting more than a little miffed that, though there is no time limit specified, one EV owner persists in leaving their vehicle plugged in overnight. Apart from the time factor it is taking up a bay that could be used by others. This is seen as more than a little inconsiderate and will become moreso if it continues into summer when many more visitors and tourists will be looking to use the facility. Please don’t abuse this service.
