Ozone therapy for pain management

thumbnail Anna Chirchikova -468Pain is a very common complaint in our community and is one of the disorders that most affects and worries people. It is the symptom that most often motivates seeking medical advice but remains largely unsolved for the majority of the population. The cost of pain medication is on the rise. Did you know that patients with pain problems use health services five times more than the rest of the population?

Here at Waipu Natural Health clinic we approach pain management differently. We use ozone therapy to ease pain.

Painful conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system respond really well to ozone infiltrations. We regularly treat people with sciatica, lower back pain and all-over body pain. These symptoms indicate low tissue oxygen and inflammation and can be addressed with ozone therapy.

Ozonation of blood increases oxygen blood saturation and as a result oxygen levels increase on a cellular level all over the body.

Ozone is an extraordinary molecule due to its analgesic anti-inflammatory effects, its multiple applications in medicine and its low incidence of adverse effects.

Ozone therapy increases anti-inflammatory markers and feel-good hormones. Very often our clients report becoming calm, relaxed, with significantly decreased pain and improved function.

Because of its analgesic properties ozone works really well for localised pain, such as painful joints and muscles. Around 70 per cent of adults suffer from low back pain at some point in their life.

Painful muscles respond really well after the intramuscular ozone infiltration around the affected area promoting analgesic effects. We achieve very good results when ozone is injected around affected joints.

This is not an exhaustive list of what ozone can do for the human body, there is so much more: increased immunity, improved energy levels, sharper mind, brighter vision, elevated mood are just a few of the ‘side effects’ of Ozone Treatments.
