Hakaru gig promises great music

Hakaru Hall is in for another rocking time, with a mid-winter gig set to warm the soul and raise funds to finance an upgrade and improvements to the treasured old building.

Organiser and Hakaru Jam lead guitarist Dennis Reeve says the show on August 8 has ‘another star line-up’.

“We’ve got some local and reasonably local talent, individual artists and groups including the Hakaru Jam group, with an extended set list and some new bodies. Totally Uked and their always-popular stage show will also be performing.” A professional sound and lighting crew will be setting up the BYO beverages and food event, which also has raffles and spot prizes as well as ‘a few surprises for later in the program’, Reeve says. “It promises to be another great Saturday night in winter down at the Hakaru hall.”
