Mangawhai Food & Wine Festival grooves to MotownThere is much to do in town this Walking Weekend (March 15-18) and along with fabulous guided walks galore, you can dance till the sun goes down at the Mangawhai Food & Wine Festival!
The annual event is the Saturday afternoon entertainment on the Walking Weekend. Once a social event in the library hall, these days it’s a huge gathering not to be missed, so grab your friends and get your tickets for a fun afternoon where the entertainment will get you up dancing, or just chill out in the shade of the beautiful Olive Grove. This years musical lineup is an authentic Motown and soul musical experience. The fabulous Motown Band is a six-piece group performing classic covers from timeless artists. Talented and versatile musicians will have the crowd up and dancing in no time. Front man and vocalist Tane Tari, recently returned from London, is an experienced and talented artist who has performed with a number of amazing groups at some famous venues; Ronnie Scott’s, Soho London and Glastonbury Festival. Everyone is in for a real treat. So bring your outdoor chairs and picnic blankets, relax in the shade of the Olive Grove, enjoy delicious food and award winning wines and craft beers on offer.
