Finding peace: Ascension meditation course follows documentary

 

Finding peace through meditation is the subject of A Mindful Choice, the documentary showing at Waipu Natural Health, Waipu, on Saturday August 11.

The film follows the lives of people around the world who practise Ascension meditation. New Zealand filmmakers Greg Hopkinson and Sally Lewis travelled the world meeting people who have found peace through the technique as part of the documentary. 

Some of the people, including prisoners in a high security Mexican jail, have experienced remarkable changes in their lives as a result. Foster kids, business people, patients with terminal cancer and professional ballet dancers are among other people interviewed.

“These people are finding real peace, often against incredible odds. It shows true freedom is in everyone's reach. With the film we want to show more people that peace is possible," Hopkinson says.
