Coast Chiropractic moving ahead

Robyn King coastal chiropractic-581After three years working quietly away in temporary premises in Devon St, Coast Chiropractic has re-opened this week in a permanent situation just behind the Wood St shops previously occupied by the optometrists.

Robyn King had established a substantial practice in Auckland before coming to Mangawhai with a toddler. This meant it was good to be able to work part-time or by appointment with the business growing gradually into what it is today. The growth in the past three years in terms of both clientele and local population means the move is both timely and convenient.

Some internal work has been done to fit the building for purpose says Robyn.

“Its much bigger than previous allowing two larger treatment rooms and a waiting room but being in the Wood St complex allows us to become much more structured, visible and accessible than previously with safer parking and close to other services at the Heads with clients now coming from as far afield as Orewa and Wellsford for treatment.”

The clinic also deals with medical referrals and ACC claims.

Robyn’s forte is muscular-skeletal problems with a treatment bench for specialised Flexion-Distraction which deals with the lower spine and lumber region. This is non-surgical and aimed at increasing spinal motion. Builders and roofers are prone to such injuries and there are a lot in that category at the present time.

The practice is complemented by Stacy McCormick who has significant experience in treating sports people and specialises in therapeutic massage working in concert with gyms and osteopaths to bring about any necessary recovery to a multitude of muscular problems.

Coast Chiropractic offers services we will all require at some point in our lives through sporting injuries which can effect the young and fit as much as any group. Even everyday gardening tasks can take a toll on our bodies or simply the aches and pains brought on by age.

 Whether sports, gardening, work or age related, skeletal and muscular ailments from top to toe can be treated at Coast Chiropractic, Shop 17, Wood St, Mangawhai Heads.

Steady growth has meant Robyn King has moved her practice into larger premises.
