Kiwi girls working for kiwi

Local girls, Minnie Stratton and Jessica Benson, from Mangawhai Beach School are both passionate about the plight of our national bird.

Full of initiative and drive, they were pictured on a weekend recently fundraising to support Kiwis for Kiwi in order to relocate them into our local forests.

Bennett’s was the main sponsor for their raffle, donating a chocolate kiwi egg, and the girls had a couple of other local sponsors.

After raising $184.80 the girls are already looking for other ideas to increase this amount.
